Team Chad (“we,” “us”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 86-1324930) based in Brentwood, Tennessee. We respect the privacy of our donors, supporters, volunteers, and the families we serve. This policy explains what information we collect through teamchad.us and our forms, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We never sell your information
Team Chad does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, and we do not share it with other organizations for their own marketing.
Information we collect
- When you give: your name, contact information, and gift details. Online gifts are processed securely by our donation platform, Fundraise Up. Team Chad never sees or stores your full card or bank account number.
- When you sign up for our newsletter or event invitations: your name and email address.
- When you request a Comfort Basket or contact us: the information you share in the form, such as your name, contact details, the recipient’s first name, a delivery address, and notes to help us personalize the basket. Request forms are hosted by Google Forms.
- When you visit our website: standard information such as pages viewed, the device and browser you use, and how you arrived at our site, collected through cookies and similar tools (see “Website tools and cookies” below).
How we use your information
- To process gifts and send receipts and thank-you notes
- To send newsletters, updates, and event invitations you’ve signed up for
- To fulfill Comfort Basket requests and respond to your questions
- To understand how our website is used so we can improve it and reach more supporters
- To keep accurate donor records and meet our legal and tax obligations
Families we serve
Families who receive help through our Patient Assistance Program are referred by hospital social workers and care teams. Information about these families is kept confidential, is used only to provide assistance, and is shared only as needed to make payments on their behalf. We share a family’s story, name, or photo only with their permission.
Website tools and cookies
Like most websites, teamchad.us uses cookies and similar tools to understand how visitors use the site and to share Team Chad’s work with people who may want to support it. These tools include:
- Google Analytics and Google Search Console, to measure site traffic and search performance
- Feathr, our email and digital marketing platform, which may show Team Chad ads to people who have visited our website
- Bloomerang, our donor database, which may connect website visits with the records of supporters who already have a relationship with us
- Embedded content, such as our Instagram feed, which may be subject to the privacy policy of the service that provides it
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site will still work if you do.
Who we share information with
We share information only with trusted service providers that help us run Team Chad, such as our donation platform, email and marketing platform, donor database, and website host, and only for those purposes. We may also disclose information when required by law.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
- Update or remove your information, or ask us not to contact you by mail or phone, by emailing hello@teamchad.us or calling 615-988-1262.
Keeping information secure
We use reputable, secure service providers and limit access to personal information to the people who need it to do their work. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
Children’s privacy
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them online.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
